The unequalled city in the world. Risen
approximately 1500 years ago on the islands of the lagoon,
Venice developed under the conditioning of its environment,
in a completely different way respect other European and
Italian cities. Venice not only accommodates the art but
it promotes it, produces it every year with international
manifestations of highest level: the Festival of the Cinema,
the Biennale, the numerous exhibitions in Palazzo Grassi.

ITINERARY 1 - Program:
meeting of the participants with the guide at 9.30 in
front of Porta della Carta of Palazzo Ducale. Until 10,15
hours detailed explanation of the exteriors of Saint Marc
Square. 10.30-12.00 hours inner visit of Palazzo Ducale.
12.30-14.00 hours lunch in a typical Venetian
restaurant.
In the afternoon walk from Saint Mark through Campo S.Maria
Formosa and visit to the church of Saints Johan and Paul.
Continuation of the walk with view of the lagoon, the
cemetery of Saint Michael and Murano. End of visit at
about 17,00. |
ITINERARY 2 - Program:
meeting of the participants with the guide at 9.30 in
Piazzale Roma. Walk until the Frari basilica and visit
from 10.00 to 11.00. Inside some of the most famous masterpieces
of Tiziano, Bellini, Paolo Veneziano, Longhena and Donatello
will be able to be admired. From 11.00 to 12.00, walk
until the restaurant with explanation of Scuola di San
Rocco (inside Tintoretto’s frescoes), Ca’
Foscari and Ponte dell’Accademia. Lunch in restaurant
from
12,00 to 14,00.
In the afternoon visit to Rialto, the famous quarter of
the market: Rialto bridge, Fontego dei Tedeschi, Mark
Polo’s house and the Miracoli church (possible inner
visit). End of visit at about 17,00. |
